HOTEL HAFEN HAMBURG / Riverside Empire – Moodmixer™-local

As one of Hamburg’s first class hotels Hotel Hafen Hamburg and its new brother the “Riverside Empire Hotel” use both the music solution from Moodmixer GmbH. In the basement bar and restaurant the Moodmixer™-local-system ist running as a centralized multichannel system with up to 4 different channels. Distribution across the premises is being done via analog cableling and via network, accessed by streaming receivers.

“The system hardly needs any maintenance”, the IT-Manager of the Hotels states and its director simply likes how well the music is being put together by the system.

“In the rare case that the central music server has to be turned off, our employees come running immediately because they miss the music, something that didn’t happen when the old satellite system was running and turned to very low volume.”

In the Towerbar they are using the Software solution Moodmixer™-Pro fed by a central music storage. Moodmixer™-local as well: it offers doubled functionality: An automated playlist of highest variation and at the same time the facility to quickly find a song requested by a guest and insert it by drag&drop into the running program- without interruption the song will be ingested and played.

Radio NRK

The Moodmixer team developed and installed a fully automated playlist solution into the environemt of D.A.V.I.D for an internet radio that promotes norways’s new bands. NRK P3 Urørt ( translated “unchanged”) used to be a saturday night show that featured young and new norwegian bands. The show was very popular, so the editors had to deal with more than 100 submissions per week. The rough part was deciding what goes into the show and what doesn’t. So the idea was to set up an independent internet radio channel to be able to feature all bands. With the normal shortage of editors, NRK was looking for an automated playlist system that would do the job or the playlist sequencing. Urørt is now a radio that runs fully automated by Moodmixer™-Technologie. The autoplaylister module fetches data of the channel music library from NRK-database(DigAlign), generates a 24h playlist and hands it over to studio automation.The playlist is updated in regular intervalls, so if the database receives new tracks they will be immediately incorporated into the playlist generation. Moodmixer™-ranking control takes care that higher rated tracks (quality and release date) are being played a bit more often
