The company

Moodmixer GmbH has been been founded in 2008 out of the existing business of PWsoft GbR.

Idea

Initially the Moodmixer™-technology= the UniversalMixMachine=UMM had been developed for the automated selection of digital music based on preferences and 4 additional criteria in the software „Moodmixer™“ . Moodmixer is now a well spread Winamp plugin.

Examining it closer, we found out that the core technology, the Moodmixer playlist generator could not only be used to calculate the right music selection but to calculate almost any other sequence of digital objects according to a weighting and other criteria. Meanwhile generation 2 of the UniversalMixmachine has been developed with even more different ways to control an automated sequence! Nowadays itcontrols all of our automated music scheduling systems and systems for background music such as Moodmixer™ -local, Moodmixer™-CRUISE, Moodmixer™-Internet and Moodmixer™-Autoplaylist tools!

We also have produced a set of multimedia solutions such as recommendation agents and playlisters that can be adapted for e-commerce, automated radio streaming as well as for standalone applications.

	Peter-Wolfgang Fischer has spent more than 20 years in radio and entertainment as music editor and head of the music department. He also advised one of the most popular music scheduling software companies in developing their software. He now has bundled all his knowledge to produce our software and software components.
	Kerstin Laveatz (BA ARCH.) has spent in depth time on the subject of music selection. As a result a database with about 50.000 profiled song titles which is being used to produce playlists for cruise liners etc. (i.e. NCL).

Web development is being taken care of by Peter Ehlig who has accumulated a lot of knowledge in web programming with database communication and other relating technologies.
